Other than that and maxed out penalties, AM defaults are working ok thus far, albeit very hard at first.

I had started with a franchise mode with weekly prep and preseason turned on. Well, in preseason, there were about 6 trades (although no head turners), but the cuts were bizarre. I think that's why we're all here. One commond bond, we love sports games, no matter who makes them. I will agree with TCrouch here, All-Madden is that much better than All-Pro. The game comes alive when you move to AM.

I'm wondering if NCAA on Heisman would be the way to go?

I've had it since friday and I have held back my comments because I've already been labeled an EA shill by some here. I have been playing Madden non-stop since Friday night. I think I might finish season 1 of my franchise by tomorrow. I wasn't sure what to expect, I heard a lot of "wait til you see...

I told myself ESPN would be it this year, but a week later and I was at Gamestop pre-ordering Madden 2k5. I guess reading some impressions have me over hyped once again. I keep telling myself I like ESPN, but something about NCAA has me wanting to try Madden yet once again. Happens every year for me...

I finally got a chance to try these settings out from Natedogg over at OS. I was VERY pleased with the CPU team's play. They ran the ball well, passed the ball well, and fooled the heck out of me. I'm still wondering if all-madden is really as good as he says it is. I've always played Madden on AP, but it seems as if AM was his choice of difficulty and for the most part he loved the realism that AM gives. Like Bill, I'll reserve judgement until playing it myself, but it does have promise. Todd

Thanks for the impressions. Seems like gameplay is stellar on Madden this year, and it's great AP defaults are working good out of the box. I'm assuming you have accelerated clock turned off? Also, like posted before - as in ESPN, can you tell when you play a defensive team as opposed to an offensiv...

I got in to very good games this morning using the AP default settings for human( I left all the human sliders except kicking alone) and the Legend settigs for the CPU( bumped all the cpu sliders to where they would be on the legend settin except kicking).........
