March to October is a fun offline mode also. Give it a try. You can get thru a season quickly. It usually throws you in a game in like the 6th or 7th inning with a goal/objective. How quickly? I still haven't figured out how to upgrade my weapons! You find smithing stones all over. You use some of those to upgrade your weapon to +1 and +2, I think.
