All I have read is that you can play it arcade style or as a pure sim. I guess that is where "Tiger-Proofing" comes in.

So is the thing pretty reliable? I wish like other USB memory keys, it would just mount on the desktop without need for installing special software. But it sounds like saves have to be formatted in a specific format for this. Still, it looks like it's getting good support. Geekrosters will have bla...

MaxDrive USB flash drive for the PS2 and Xbox - WooHoo!

I picked up the MaxDrive USB flash drive made by Datel this evening. It's looks like your typical USB flash drive, but this one is designed to work with the PS2 (There is also a version for the Xbox). The 16MB MaxDrive allows you to back up both of your memory cards, and then transfer them to your h...

I first learned to golf when I was eight years old. Our town had a sand greens course, but at least it was free! North Dakota is quite dry, and most small towns had sand greens, instead of grass. Here's how it worked. You had a big metal pipe, about 1-1/2" in diameter, with a handle on it. One side ...

That reminds me of a story about Luke Appling, whom I had the pleasure of meeting in 1989 when I was an usher for the Greenville Braves. I found this: What is the record for hitting the most foul balls in one time at-bat ? Foul ball records are not kept, but baseball author Bill James once wrote tha...

I Tivoed and haven't seen it yet but I'm hearing on Howard Stern that they had some kind of lame tribute show at 8 and the actual episode ran from 9:02 to 10:08? Oh well I guess I'm going to miss the ending since mine was set to run to 10. Dumb ass NBC. Don't worry; it comes out on DVD on Tuesday.

Took me 3 weeks to get my Cub hat. But I'll tell you this the worst customer service is the mlb shop at mlb.com. Don't ever order anything from there, they use Digital River and are complete screw ups. I bought an authentic Expos jersey when they had a "3-hours only, 50% off everything in the store...

Aside from GT4, there isn't much that the PS2 has that the Xbox doesn't.
The Xbox doesn't have force feedback support, does it?

One bit of technology to watch out for is the Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel which has a 900-degree rotation, just like a real car. Gran Turismo 4 will be the first game to support this technology.

One reason why I bought my Blaupunkt CD player was that you could easily add an auxiliary adapter to it. The adapter was only $6.95, and my iRiver iHP-120 sounds awesome in my car!

Interplay Sports Baseball 2000 had a great pitching interface in the pre-analog days. You used the d-pad to choose one of nine quadrants, along with the pitch type. You then selected one of nine sub-quadrants along with a pitch speed. In other words, you could choose 81 pitch locations. I sure wish ...

Logitech Driving Force Pro

It is the ONLY wheel on the market with a 900-degree turning radius! It should work on the PC as well as the PS2. I would´ve thought they wouldn´t release it until GT4 comes out.
Logitech has full details on their site:
<A HREF="http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=pro...
